Show photography for dance schools, theatre productions and multi-night runs across Kent. Stage lighting handled properly, parent galleries set up cleanly, fast turnaround on previews and final delivery.
Theatre lighting eats most photographers alive. Coloured washes, deep shadows, fast movement, and a spot on a single performer that's a stop and a half brighter than everyone else. The work is in the prep: knowing the lighting plot before you arrive, picking the right ISO and white balance for each cue, and editing tone and colour back into balance afterwards.
I shoot from front of house and the wings (with the stage manager's blessing), staying out of the audience's way. The result: sharp performance images that look like the show actually was, not a flatter, washed out version of it.
For school shows, I deliver a private gallery that parents can access via a single shared link or password. They can browse, share and order digitals or prints directly through the gallery, and the school gets a marketing licence to reuse images for next year's recruitment. No admin for you.
It also means you don't have to handle parent enquiries about photos — they go straight through me.
Dance show photography typically lands in the Signature Shoot tier from £695. Multi-night runs, festivals and competitions get a tailored Custom Project quote.
Yes. I work with the stage manager and lighting designer where useful, fit around the running order, and stay out of audience sight lines. I don't shoot during quiet sections unless agreed.
Yes, and often that's the better option for unrestricted access. Dress rehearsal photography means you can use images for marketing without performance-night restrictions.
Watermarked previews go up within 48–72 hours so you can share on social. Full edited parent gallery follows within 5–7 days.
Yes. Schools that book a season block (Christmas, Easter, summer show) get a tailored package with one gallery system across the year.
Send the date, venue and rough running order. I’ll come back with availability and a clear quote.
